A customer gets a quote on WhatsApp. They say yes. And then, on almost every platform built so far, they leave the conversation to pay — a link, a browser tab, a page that looks nothing like the chat they were just having. rePUSHTI has closed that gap.
What actually changed
UPI collection now runs natively inside WhatsApp, built on rePUSHTI's payments partnership with PayU. No payment link. No in-app browser. No handoff to a page the customer has to trust is really who it says it is. The customer pays in the exact same thread the conversation happened in — full stop.
Native UPI checkout inside WhatsApp — no link, no browser, no handoff.
Why this isn't just a travel story
Any business collecting money from a customer over WhatsApp — in any industry — can run the same checkout. But the case for travel specifically is sharper than most, because travel businesses collect money on WhatsApp in more shapes than almost anyone else:
- OTAs and B2C sellers completing a booking payment without redirecting the customer anywhere
- Concierge and offline bookings, taking payment the same place the request came in
- B2B agents topping up their account credit directly inside the conversation the request happened in
UPI was already sitting in the payment gateway. Nobody had actually put it inside WhatsApp itself — until now.
A first for travel
Every version of “pay by WhatsApp” we've come across in travel still hands the customer off to a browser at the exact moment they're meant to pay. rePUSHTI built the version that doesn't. Watch it above, or talk to us about turning it on for your business.
